Murton Park!

On Tuesday Year 5 visited Murton Park to see how Tudors lived. We dressed up in Tudor clothes and went into a Tudor house.

First we were split into groups and each group had 30 minutes doing either Tudor writing or being a Tudor soldier. Then we had lunch by candlelight and all our food was in the same bowl, YUM!! After we had a tour of the house it was so much fun but the house was really small!

Finally we took turns in candle dipping and making air fresheners out of oranges and cloves, we all thought is was GREAT!!!!

Welcome to our Blog!

We are the Year 5 Leopards- the best class at Oakworth Primary   School! As we are new to blogging, we should start by telling you a little bit about ourselves. Firstly, our topic this term is ‘Mad Professors’ and we had a stunning start with a visit from Dr Jekyll, then enjoyed studying the book ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ in Literacy.

Last Monday, we went to Nell Bank outdoor centre to meet our Linking Schools friends from Byron. Lots of us felt a little bit  nervous before we got there, but excited too! It was great fun and we enjoyed getting to know new people.

We have just invented board games for Year 3, so that they can learn more about shapes and we are looking forward to playing them with Year 3 children this afternoon.

Look out for more news from 5 Leopards next week!
